Invicta 12912 wrist watches news:
I thought I'd post these as I don't think many of us get the chance to see pieces this old or using this very old technologyImage78.jpg these are pictures of a Fusee. A fusee was a power transfer system used to compensate for the uneven power of older mainspringsImage76.jpg It used the changing diameters of the fusee to decrease power when the watch was fully wound and to increase power when the watch had less windImage77.jpgThis was needed to equalize the power coming from the mainspring. The small chain is identical to a modern bicycle chain and was manufactured most by children due to the size. The next two pictures are of bridges from another watch, but indicative of the period Image79.jpgImage80.jpgI hope these are of interest both pieces are from 1820- 1830..............Jesse ( click on the pictures for a better view )
I've long toyed with the idea of owning an Aerospace but was never keen on the older models for various reasons. An opportunity came up recently for a 2007 model and I pulled the trigger. Interesting to reflect on the fact that this timepiece is already 10 years old.As expected, extremely comfortable to wear, balanced and looks nice, despite being a departure from my 34-40mm usual range.A nice value for a watch with interesting pedigree.
Hi everyone, I'm seriously considering selling my Emergency. It just does not make it into my rotation enough. Any thoughts/suggestions?
Hi allI was fortunate to attend a private party last night and it is a fantastic exhibition! I was in fact so busy looking at the watches, chatting and taking pictures that I missed out on supper lol. It really was amazing and I thought I would share some pictures of some watches that we don't see everyday. There was one watch that one guest let me take a picture of (the only wrist shot). It was stunning in reality, does anyone have any details about it? The owner told me only four were made. Have a great weekend. CheersAnujSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
