Magnetising a Rolex
Hei everyone.Is there a real change to get a Rolex magetised unless you do something unusal with it? I know the new models incorporating the parachrome-blue hairspring doesn't have this problem, but what about the "old" models?

After about 2 months of Milgauss GV fun I've decided I cannot live without the date any longer on my daily wear watch. I'll still keep the Milly for a fun evening out or a dressy event. My first Rolex (now 12 years old) the Explorer II is being pulled from moth balls. This watch is incredible and to this day runs consistently at +/- 0 per day. I just checked it on a 2 day test after pulling it back out. That said, it is dry - or worse perhaps some water had gotten in. I can hear the rotor moving as the watch is rotated. I am certain I want it serviced and lubed at the Dallas RSC. I hope it will still be as flawlessly accurate afterward.I am certain I do not want a new dial. Lum is less important to me that originality. This not from a $ value standpoint, but rather as a "This is my watch, I got when I landed my first big promotion".What I am not certain about is the cosmetic refinish. Well, okay that's an exaggeration. I posted in the General forum that I wanted opinions on which watch I should pursue - the Omega PO or a Rolex SD. I didn't post in here in case your views may have been very slightly biased..same in the Rolex forum of course :)Some very interesting views & opinions were expressed for both watches, which didn't really swing my opinion one way or the other.Today I was in the office lunch room when I spied the wrist ornament of one of the other engineers - a 45.5mm PO, 'classic' style with the black bezel and SS bracelet.When I scraped my jaw off the floor, I asked if I might have a look at it. He kindly obliged, and before you could say seyonara G-shock, it was on my wrist - and it looked GREAT!! To be fair I haven't worn a Seadweller, but have tried a sub which is not all that different to look at. There was no comparison, the PO had presence, style and just 'called' to me. Guys need some help love this watch havn't wore it fora couple of months and it won't work tried moving it side to side for 200 times still no movement.Any suggestions ?

Blue Speedmaster Chrono -- Thumbs Up??
So, I'm looking at a Tudor Chrono -- Real nice. Then, wow, find out I can buy a new Omega Blue chrono for about the same price. I like the blue dial and bezel, sorta like the white gold rolex Sub I can't afford. Though, of course the Rolex isn't a chrono. Anyone have one of these Omegas? Are they nice?
