Invicta 11038 wrist watches news:
There are many things we take for granted when speaking about modern timepieces, and one of those is water resistance. There are no "water proof" watches, as that implies water would not be able to enter them under any circumstances, so we use the term "water resistant." The history of water resistant watches really began in the 1920s, but it was not until later that the serious water resistant diving watch came into existence. Today dive watches are the most popular type of sport watch, not necessarily because people use them to dive, but because of their style, promise of durability, and utilitarian value.Regardless of whether one pays a few hundred or several thousand dollars for a watch, they rightfully expect reliability, accuracy, and comfort. Having said that, we are rarely reminded of just how much time it took wristwatches to transform from fragile pieces of art into workhorse instruments that can put up with most of the challenges we expose them to during our daily lives. I have a new Hamilton coming UPS Monday. When I was doing my web search for the model I checked out AD's (sent request or called for price quote) and Grey market dealers. Best price I could find on the watch that had a MSRP of $475 was $325 (fee shipping) from an AD and $292 (free shipping) from a Grey Market dealer. Going with the AD gets you a full two year Hamilton warranty. Going with the Grey market gets you a full one year "dealer" warranty. Just for info, that dealer has stood by their warranty for a Hamilton they sold me in the past. When you consider the free shipping the AD quote was at least 30% off MSRP. I felt that made the watch a good deal and the difference in price from the grey market was only $33. In the end I felt the extra cash was well spent for the full two year warranty and the fact that warranty is supported by the manufacturer. My obvious question is, what do you think?dealer stock photo of watch
Two of the same watch? Am I crazy?Anyone own two of the same watch. I love my B-1 so much I am contemplating adding another one in another dial color. I could switch it up a little bit and add an Airwolf. What are your thoughts?
Although the new SMP is stunning with that ceramic bezel and flat dial, I will miss the waves on the Seamaster dial. Here are a few pics to help appreciate their beauty.
I hear several people state that after charging the lume on their watch that it glow for most of the night. I own several and itĄŻs never happened for me. Am I doing something wrong? Charging with an LED light doesnĄŻt seem to help either with longevity of the lume..Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
