Invicta 1869 wrist watches news:
on Neo-Vintage pieces more than ever before. From Pre-A to "A" and then "B" and "C" the people are breaking them out of the hiding places. The buzz word is still Tritium...no bracelets, no Blue dials....just the basics of the Pam 2/9, 4/1, 23/29, 24/25, 26/27/28 and even the 27C has come up dramatically this week. Also in play are the Pam 36...good old Marina Militaire getting some play. Pam 57's are one of the last neo-vintages that has always kept its value. As the Newest line goes up in price it brings up the Neo Vintage, the the Vendome and then the Vintage......I see a lot of activity about to increase...this is where the collector's get the hot stuff and it is not for the feint of heart.Just my 2 centsRegardsElliot
Hi,As some of you may know I recently acquired a Patek Croc for my 5960/1a. I am really feeling this watch on the grey croc I purchased from European Watch Co in Boston. They did not have a Patek clasp or tang in stock so they gave me a generic tang. I am interested in purchasing a Patek deployment clasp. I went by my local AD and was quoted over $4,000 for one. It seems expensive to me. I was ready for somewhere in the $1500 range. I declined to purchase it and asked them to email me the price of the tang so I could decide which way I want to go. They never emailed me. Anyone familiar with pricing on the deployments (would rather have an oem deployment if possible but not at $4000) or tangs. And if different than what I was quoted where to get? Pic of 5960/1a on strap for those who haven't seen.
Sent watch to the NYC RSC and received the attached quote. The watch is a SS Daytona 116520, have all papers, boxes, etc. It is all correct parts. On the Service Estimate, I notice a few things:1. They call the dial a 116528. Is this a generic term or do they think the dial has been changed to a non 116520 dial?2. I authorized them to replace the bezel, but they seem to call it a 16520 bezel. I find this weird. I will call them tomorrow, but has anyone seen this before on the work orders?
I'll be going to Thailand soon from Houston TX. All ADs here locally have not been able to supply me with a BLNR yet so I was wondering how difficult it was in Thailand. I will going through Frankfurt to Phuket to Bangkok. Is it even worth my time to stop by ADs to see if they have a BLNR and if so, any reccomendations? Also, with the exchange rate (Baht to USD) and declaring taxes etc, would I even come out ahead of my ~$9700.00 it will cost me in the US from an AD after taxes? Thanks!
Got the ND sub last week as I didn¡¯t want to miss the chance when I saw one at the Rolex boutique last week. But I just love my SD43 can¡¯t take it off my wrist, so I have not yet the incentive to unwrap my ND Sub yet, and not sure when I will want to put this ND sub on my wrist. Should I just sell the ND Sub? Or keep it in case one day I get tired of SD43?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
