Something NOT Often Seen on a Waltham Trench Watch
Hey guys !I got something in the mail this week that you just don't see anymore!An ORIGINAL one piece Olive Drab Strap on a trench watch, with the ORIGINAL clasp ! ! ! ! !It is in SUPERB CONDITION, you NEVER see them like this, more often than not they are trashed with stains, torn or are simply completely worn out and unusable.This cloth strap is sewn onto the lug at the 12 o'clock position.I am guessing that this Waltham has been sitting in a VERY dry drawer for the past 75+ years due to it's wonderful condition.I simply LOVE drawer watches ! ! ! This means that nobody has messed with it, they are usually easier to fix because no hack has touched it.This Waltham was broken when it first arrived, broken mainspring and HIGHLY magnetized, movement was frozen up.I completed all of the repairs, installed a new glass crystal, polished the case and re-lumed the hands.The original dial was toast so I replaced that, simply had to, it was just too far gone to be saved unfortunately.You cannot
