Old watch was very clear to hear. I bought two one for my blind mom and aunt. Both started to get upset because the watches were not clear and not nearly as loud as the old watch. very disappointing. Are the old square watches still available.

So - What Is Going On Out There? (Besides Nothing).
OK, I'm not getting that much time to watch hunt these days; maybe a few times a week to ebay and a prowl around the usual vendors. But boy o boy, when I do get there - the cupboard is bare!My usual ebay search has returned about 700 hits for the past year or more. Last week or two - 510. And what a bunch of dross. Bulk lots of tired movements and tired watches; movements with cases presumably scrapped for gold. One or two models of interest but sheesh, not a good time to have money burning a hole in your pocket. (And with the Aussie dollar now above parity with the USD it is TIME TO BUY!So what is it? Economic conditions in the US? Nice and sunny so everyone is outside - when they should be inside posting watches at online auction sites?

AP RO Diver or 15400
Hello Everyone,Looking for some thoughts and advise. I'm thinking of buying my first AP and wanted your thoughts between the two listed above. I currently have a few Rolexes, JLC, IWC and Panerai. I prefer a more casual everyday watch that is also rugged. I'm leaning towards the Diver, but there's something special about the 15400. Unbelivable !! Shocked !! A Dynamic Date NOS...
The Dynamic date was my first important watch back in 1996. After 13 years of on and off use and after the last 7 years spent on my dad's wrist,the poor guy is now well beaten.To my disbilief,passing by in front of my local Omega AD today I've spotted a brand new Dynamic date !! Just mint new...NOS !! Price tag was at Euro 732 and I did not want to step inside the AD just to ask if any discount was available. I've just bought a Sinn 656 and I have a Longines on the way from my wife,buying the Omega would just be a symbolic way to remember old times,I would rarely use it !!! ....what to do ??? What a watch !!! I hope is just the heat of the moment.....
