NEWS Victorinox Swiss Army goes back to its roots with an aviation-dedicated timepiece August 29, 2008 Rugged yet sophisticated, the AirBoss Collection was first introduced in 2003, inspired by the flight deck boss of today’s aircraft carriers. The beauty and fascination of this timepiece lies in its cockpit like feeling with all its instruments and controls. Victorinox Swiss Army presents the limited edition AirBoss Mach 6 Power Gauge with mechanical movement. Would it have wings it would fly. Recognizable at first sight, this very special timepiece is held in a strong 45mm diameter steel case and has a triple-coated anti-reflective sapphire crystal which allows a view on a striking black dial. The chiseled hands and numbers with PVD Black Ice coating and luminescent segments on all hands and subdial markers ease the use in the dark. The aggregate with the very advanced power reserve gauge function is featured by a 7750 Valjoux self-winding chronograph movement. Delicate engraved
Still contemplating my next purchase Gone full circle. Was originally thinking AP diver then looked again at rolex followed by Zenith now back onto AP. Tried on day/date + diver today never considered DD before but I must say I loved the balance of the dial. Anyway loved them both although both completely different watches. Thoughts welcome guys
I just took delivery of my first AP and it comes with an alligator strap, lovely, but probably not durable to every day use. Would anyone be so kind as to measure an Offshore 42mm and 44mm please and also a diver. Specifically the width at the lugs and the width where the clasp would close. Many thanks.p.s.Mine is 28x20 with deployant. I know I can probably buy an aftermarket band but was wondering if a regular rubber strap would fit.
