Keeping autos wound
Now guysI know several of you use watch winders. As you know from previous discussions I'm in the minority. I tend to occasionally wind up my autos, at least the ones I'm wearing. Now of course I wind on a daily basis!!! I have strange habits with watches in that I do not rotate. A watch stays on my wrist for days and weeks during which time I would wind them occasionally to keep up the power reserve. As most of us would wear a watch for 12 hours or more on a daily basis anyway, the power reserve should be pretty well topped up. I recall reading discussions on this matter that one could or should every so often, around three weeks to a month just wind up a watch to ensure that the power reserve was kept to the full.So pals, do you wind your autos?Y'all have a nice weekend now ZIN

Breitling Gurus,Had a quick question in regards to the attached Chrono. Model #A13048. Received as a trade, leather strap is a little warn, and the hand on the top Chrono dial has slipped off. What's a fair price to offer this one up for as is, and if I get a new OEM strap & get the floating hand fixed. Offers welcome. Thanks.

It all began on a Thursday night last week. Decided to pop by the local grey dealer for a chat and coffee. Now, the SD43 was a piece never really on my radar. I had thought the SubC was at the maximum bounds of what my wrist could handle. And it was a piece that I had heard much controversy about, everything from it being a Fat Submariner to not being an actual SeaDweller with the cyclops. With all the supply shortages as well, it was also becoming a frustrating and tiresome exercise searching for pieces I wanted. And the anecdotes on this site didn't help, reading about year long waitlists even for the most basic Sub. At this grey dealer, they had just received an SD43 earlier in the day. I tried it on. The first thing that struck me was the proportions of this piece. With slimmer lugs relative to its case size, a wider bracelet, it felt a world apart from the DeepSea. My go to is saying early February and that putting me in front of the waitlist. Just curious and wanted to compare with other sources.
