One of the best things about Doxa watches is that they don't change. There is a whole collection of "SUB something" watches that have designs from what feels like the 1960s or 1970s - that remain largely unchanged today. Ever since Clive Cussler learned about the brand at a dive store he worked in and immortalized it in his writing, Doxa timepieces have been a bit more than just diving instruments.There have been attempts to modernize the look of the brand as well as of the core dive watch collection. I think it is almost amusing when people discuss Doxa's non-dive pieces (which aren't half bad). Yes I know they're made by Rolex, but apparently they're not being made available in the U.S. anymore or only certain models appear here. This for instance:cgi.ebay/ROLEX-TUDOR-SUBM...QQcmdZViewItem would sell like hotcakes to those of us who would like a cheaper *real* alternative to a Rolex Sub to use as more of an everyday, every situation type watch. Will these watches ever be sold here anymore or are they gone for good?

My Seiko SRP043K2
Hey Guys,I recently sold my Omega GMT and wanted something to fill the void and the big Seiko fits the build. Having always modded Seikos with Yao accessories the SRP043K2 had a bit of appeal already having the dial and hands that I like.As soon as it came I swapped the Seiko rubber strap for a Dievas rubber diver strap, although this was only on until the bracelet I ordered from "Watchadoo" arrived.Overall I am very happy with the watch. The accuracy is awesome and the longer power reserve is welcome. The dial is very clear and the lume lasts all night. The bonus is that with the bracelet fitted the watch costs just a bit over $200.00. Now folks that is what I call bang for your buck.As it arrived,With the Dievas strap fitted,The case back,With the bracelet,and a side view,Cheers.
