At exactly 1:30 p.m. Eastern Time tomorrow (Thursday, October 29th), the world of fine watchmaking will gather at the grand theater in Geneva for the most prestigious celebration of horology in the world at the 2015 Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Geneve, or GPHG. Over a dozen category winners will be announced, ranging from chronographs to calendars, sports watches, tourbillons, ladies watches, and more. From there, the winner of the night's biggest prize, the “AIGUILLE D’OR," or "Golden Hand" will be presented. I was given this watch as part of my Grandfather's estate and am having a hard time trying to identity the model. He had it for a number of years, and looks pretty old.Any help would be appreciated.Thankswatch.jpg
how do ya'll think these boschett dive watches stack up against similarly priced models from invicta? they look incredible to me for twice the price. as a matter of fact, i'm about to pull the trigger on a blue one.
Ok guys/gals... i currently have an AP diver and a GMTIIC. previous watches a Breitling SA and a Pam 112. Im seriously considering the PO in 45.5 mm. I think for the money ill go ahead and get the bracelet and then grab an isofrane for it. I know the OEM rubber is supposed to be awesome but i cant hardly bring myself to pay the same for a rubber strap as a bracelet. I also hear the bracelets are hard to size. is this true? Im sold in the isofranes so thats a given. 22mm correct? i think the PO with the orange markers would give me something different in my collection even though i know the silver markers are more classic and probably my favorite version. i just need something different than my other two black face watches and i think the orange will set it off. im pretty sure on the 45.5 mm since i had no issues with a 44mm panerai. the 48mm super avenger was a tad heavy on bracelet for extended wear but im hoping the PO isnt as bad plus i can always throw the isofrane on
I am coming up on bonus time at work. I want to add another Rolex and I have narrowed it down to these two watches. Right now I am leaning towards the James Cameron D-Blue. Please offer you thoughts on one vs the other and why. Thanks in advance.D-Blue SD vs SD43 50th Anniversary Ok go...Cheers,Bryant
