Chopard 161888-5003 wrist watches news:
The German dive watch company NauticFish is an offshoot of the larger Schaumburg/Lindburgh & Benson watch group. A few years ago, the brand was set up as vehicle for more aggressive German watches that complimented, but did not necessarily compete with the popular Schaumburg line of diving watches. The first NauticFish watches were actually little more than rebranded Scahumburg watches with minor changes. Currently, NauticFish watches have their own special character, but that did not occur over night. Over the last few years, little design changes resulted in the current product, of which many are nice hybrid designs between the appealing look of Schaumburg dive watches and the NauticFish style. The first changes appeared on the face with the hand and number indicators, then the bezel treatment, and other items changed as well. This particular watch represents a halfway point from what NauticFish used to be, and what it is today. Notice the same bezel as on Schaumburg watches, but w
Hi, I am trying to put together an original leather box and associated authentic manuals, tags, etc. for a 1970's - 80's Rolex President. I am aware of the stuff on e-Bay, but I am not interested in going there and I do not know what to look for to assure authenticity and correct vintage of the components needed, I want to be sure that all items are of the correct period. Can you help guide me to the place where this may be found?Thank you and Regards, Gkenny.
This was an interesting period in American watch manufacturing. It was rather short-lived and the American watchmakers thought these watches were going to compete well against the on-coming surge of quartz technology, so much so that companies invested much of their futures into the technology. Hamilton was very successful with their line, but it was to little, to late. They had some great asymetrical cased beauties that are expensive and getting harder to find on the vintage market. They also produced their own in-house movements for the most part. Bulova of course had their very popular "tuning fork" electric watches, the Accutron series, which remain very popular today, but the parts are getting hard to source. Extremely accurate movements.Benrus entered the fray with a number of different watches starting with the "TechniQuartz" which used the LIP movement from France and then moved onto the Citation series which used ESA movements. The Swiss ESA movements were very good high beat
my very first post here, good Sunday to everyone...cheers
I've seen many pictures taken on cherry and mahogany desks so I thought I'd do one of my own at work today. The light varies greatly throughout the day so I had a chance to fool around and take about a dozen different photos at different angles. And here you can see why this watch was seemingly made for me - it fits the curve of my wrist almost perfectly.I still find myself staring at it a few times a day. WIS euphoria!
