seiko diver cases automatic and quartz
was wondering if anyone can provide info on cases using automatic and quartz movements. I have a 7009 in a non diver case and was wondering can that be dropped in a different case like say a diver case. also I a seiko quartz and im looking for a diver case but dont which diver case model. sounds confusing frak im confused just typing this up

I was reading a thread in another section and this occurred to me after the poster asked for help ID-ing the watch, then suggested they would take it to a dealer to get them to open it up.This is not a shot at them in any way. I don't know what their intent is, but the thought got me noodling...Are you willing to pop the back off your own watches?Sure, those who are "watch mechanics" (yep, I'm at a loss for the correct temrinology here"watchmakers", maybe?? *embarrased*) easily fall into this category.
