Store Closing Sale?!?
So a national chain that is closing their stores is advertising 20%-50% off on merchandise. I had been there a few weeks ago BEFORE the sale looking at a Montbrilliant Legende and was quoted a discounted price. I called and asked if the sale price included the Breitlings and was told that a 20% discount applied. When I went back expecting a better deal this time, I was offered a higher price than I was a week ago WITHOUT the sale. I had jokingly told my wife on the way over that they were probably going to start at full retail and then apply the 20%...boy was I right. It's their store and of course they can charge whatever they want, but was the salesman ever surprised when I took out his card (which he had given me on my first visit) with the previous prices written on the back. And even then he wouldn't budge on the sale price. Heck if he had just come down a LITTLE bit more I would've walked with the watch right then.
