Opinions on buying first automatic
I have owned quartz watches my entire life, however I'm ready to buy my first automatic watch (not giving up my G-Shock however ). I have narrowed the choices down to a few models, but I would consider others and below are the criteria factoring into my decision in no particular order. 1 - this will be my new "everyday" watch. (I wear jeans and nice shirts at my job and shorts and t-shirts on the weekends. rarely wear biz casual with khaki pants or something similar)2 - I don't watch an all polished stainless steel bracelet (all brushed is a must, but some polished is fine). Just shopping online for now and it can be hard to tell with some picture if all polished or not. 3 - I want the option to able to switch to a rubber strap at some point4 - willing to spend up to $2K, but would prefer closer to $1K5 - want the diver look or something very similar6 - brand name recognition/cachet (minor criteria and I realize budget is limiting factor here).7 - availability to be routinely servic
