While perusing the wares of the brand new Blancpain boutique on Fifth Avenue a few weeks back, I stumbled across this guy here. It's called the VIlleret Tourbillon Squelette 8-Day, and while it was announced at BaselWorld 2014, there wasn't a lot of attention given to it ¨C most was offered to the awesome new in-house chronograph movement seen in the Bathyscaphe Chronograph. But this new tourbillon has a lot going for it. 2 OF 3 First, it employs Blancpain's excellent in-house 8-day self-winding tourbillon caliber 25, which is quite thin at 4.85mm in thickness. That's not only thin for a tourbillon, it's also very thin for a tourbillon with an 8-day power reserve. Second, the case is an absolutely perfect 37.5mm in diameter. Yes, that's 37.5mm and nobody is calling it a lady's watch. This is the size a watch like this should be. The DeepSea...Is anyone else surprised...???
Now please don't get me wrong...I LOVE the DeepSea...It's the only Rolex I now own and I wear it all day, everyday with more pleasure then I probably deserve...But it will be 10 years this spring since the model was released and I am shocked that Rolex has let the run go on so long...I mean let's face it, there are a great many people who dislike the 116660...It's too thick, too heavy, too much writing, etc, etc,etc... And I have yet to see a watch that tends to polarize people more...In the end Rolex must be making their monies worth on the watch or they would have pulled it from production years ago...Right...Or does Rolex leave it in their line because of it's technological advancements...I guess we'll never know...

Saw today on the internet by a dealer an Serti Dial for an GMT Master IIAs seen on the image this Serti Dial is for 16718 model.The dealer told me that this dial is for the 16718 model from the period 2000 until 2005.I have an old catalog from 1999 and there is also model 16718 describe.I love the dial, it's for sale for 1750€ only must I find a watch from the period 2000/2005 or can I buy a watch from an other period?
