When we first saw the ContaTempo Scuderia watches at Basel World 2013, we were immediately excited. Consisting solely of large bullhead cases with distinct and thoughtful designs, they managed to standout from the crowd at the world's largest watch fair, not an easy task. The watches appealed to that same part of us that stops on the street when we see an old muscle car or a well restored vintage motorcycle. That part that is drawn to things that are simultaneously masculine and classically cool. vintage Omega Seamaster 300m in pieces( what is it worth?)
Gentlemen,I am normally on the Rolex side but I do love Omega. I stumbled across a early 60s Seamster 300m(thin bezel) in pieces so to speak. The case and movement are good and running, no band, no dial, hands or bezel bakelite. I know the the guy, who is the original owner. He gave me the long story on why it is in this condition. I have sourced a dial and hands from Omega, I can live without the original band and I am thinking I am SOL on a bezel insert.I have two questions:1. What is the most I should give for the case and movement?2. Any ideas on how to deal with the bezel insert problem?I don't need the watch, but I would enjoy it. I know its value would be shot by all the modern replacement parts compared to an all original piece.Your thoughts would be helpful.

what are you hoping to see next month @ basel?
im hoping for the day/date to be increased in size to 40mm and i would like to see a major upgrade with the sea dweller like a new ceramic bezel, maxi dial, and an increase in size to 44mm. i would also like to see some updates with the explorer II.....perhaps a bezel that can actually rotate. take care and have fun!aloha,brian

5711 Pricing
Is it just me or are the 5711 blue dials going for over retail? Even pre owned Prices are getting close to used 5712 and not far off from a 5726 with extra $$
