I've long desired to one day purchase a white-faced steel Emergency Mission (though my experiences with the brand thus far make that questionable at this point) My friend, a B2 owner, says that battery service on the EM is $400.00. Does anyone know if this is true?

Invictas At Penney's, Idiots At Macy's...
So during my lunch break today, I took a swing over to the local mall to see if JC Penney had Invictas. They did. They had grotesquely enormous ones (RD¡¯s). They also had some Speedways, Ocean Ghosts, and a couple which I¡¯d not seen before. I tried on a couple, left my MasterCard in my wallet, thanked ¡°Justin¡± for his help, and left. Not a huge selection, but not bad, I suppose. It¡¯s the first time I¡¯ve seen them at a retailer, so that was kinda¡¯ nice. The problem was that they were selling them at full retail.I decided to head over to Macy¡¯s, to see if they had them.What I found was not Invictas, but idiots. Two of them.As soon as I walked into the general vicinity of the watch counter, I was approached by a pleasant, if not very eager to sell, young woman named Madeline (Idiot #1), who asked me if I needed help. Navitimer 01 limited
Have an opportunity to pickup a Navitimer 01 limited in the tobacco town dial.Thoughts on wearability, readability etc. . .I know it is a Navitimer so by their very definition they are busy and this is 46mm which is normally outside my size range, I found this easily wearable and easy to read the time.Love the overall look and have always wanted to add a Navitimer to my collection.Thoughts, thanks.

Buying an older Patek that has sat in a safe
Good morning, I am looking at a Patek 5712/1a and have been offered a reasonable deal on one that is still factory sealed in its coffin box, but which dates back to 2008. Is this something I should avoid ? Should I factor in the cost of an immediate service ? I have read a lot of debate on the forum about the settling of oils, though I would have thought a 2008 watch was modern enough that the synthetic oils used would remain evenly coated across the train and the watch would be as good as new. As a relative newbie, however, I may be showing my ignorance. Also, are any of the Patek experts here aware of any changes on the 5712/1a between 2008 and today ? In pictures it looked to me that the dial is now perhaps a lighter shade of blue, but that may just be a trick of the light. Very grateful for the guidance of the forum.
