- Ordered watch as a gift and it is beautiful. My husband loved it. The only thing we needed to do is get the watch band fitted to his wrist.

Ulysse Nardin 246-92/692 wrist watches news:
Unveiled in January at the SIHH 2011 event, the new Panerai Radiomir Oro Rosa 3 days 47 mm (PAM 379) Manual-Wind watch will be sold as a Special Edition with only 299 timepieces model to achieve the few lucky. Like many other historic "watches revealed this winter by Officine Panerai, the new timekeeper is equipped with a movement of the hand-wound made manufacturing."
My brother in-law has a few vintage watches he would like repaired to working order and he sent them to me because I use a guy down the street that is an old-time watch repair guy and does work at good prices. He told me that theses three watches (Benrus, Gruen, Lemania) had too many things wrong with them to be worth fixing. He said in their current condition they're probably worth ten bucks each and to fix them (assuming he could find the parts) would be a couple hundred dollars.I was hoping he would at least give me an estimate but he seemed to be of the mindset that it wasn't worth it and he's an old guy and I didn't want to hassle him about it.So, my question is (for any vintage watch buffs) Should I get a second opinion? Is any watch fixable or worth fixing? If so, do you have any recommendations on who I might send them to for an estimate?
So, around a year ago I found my great grandfathers old Breitling. My aunt told me it was from around the 1940s, but she wasn't certain. Can someone point me in the right directions where to search/find more information?Ps. I already tried Breitlings vintage museum, with no luck.Link to Imgur album: BreitlingThe dial says Breitling IncablocThe back says ACIER INOXYDABLE and under that 320563 - 150Thanks in advance guys!
Today I visited my Rolex AD in Melbourne to check on a few possibilities for my collection... only to be told that the wait for a Daytona C was five years... and eighteen months for a DSSD Deep Blue... so I took a stroll to their sister shop down the road a little and after a lovely chat (and a glass of champagne) I purchased this... first of a new brand for me...
So I recently picked up a Day-Date and like it a lot, however all it's done is give me a hankering for a Daytona. I've got a steel model and had the 116500 amongst others in the past, but I like the look of these currently...So although I'm not asking you to choose which one I go for, as of course that will be personal preference in the end, it would be cool to see yours and hear your views in case there's anything I haven't thought of.How is the OysterFlex as a strap? Comfortable, hard wearing etc? Thanks in advance
