Another Monster Question
New to the forum and very much enjoying it.I've decided a Monster is a must and am in the process of ordering.I think I understand from earlier threads the numbering system as to implications related to origin and am interested in whether there are any differences in the watch or warranty coverage between a SKX779K1 and a SKXA43 if I buy from an authorized dealer and forum sponsor. From what I've been able to review, I don't think there is but would appreciate any insight.Thanks, I'm really looking forward to getting a Monster!Steve

watches with 24 hour dials instead of 12?
After looking into the watch/sun compass technique, I'm thinking about getting an affordable watch for hiking that has 1 - 24 on the dial instead of 1 - 12, and an hour hand that makes one full pass per day rather than two. Using such a watch, it is my understanding that if you point the hour hand at the sun, noon will point South and 0 (or 24) will point North. From what I can find, it's not as accurate as an actual compass, but will at least keep you going in one direction rather than in circles!The one I found is an Alpha. I don't have a problem with Alpha, I'd just like to know if there are other options.Thanks for any info.

difference in straps?
I wanted to buy a standard buckle for my 24mm OEM panerai rubber strap. I was looking at the panerai price list, and noticed there are straps for 'ardillion' buckles and straps for folding buckles. if I want just a regular (non-folding) buckle, I am going to have to buy a new strap for it also? I attached a picture of the buckle I was going to bid on, but not if I have to buy another strap.

PAM 328 with P9000 movement no longer winding up automatically
Hi All,I posted a thread a few weeks ago saying that the watch wasn't winding when sitting on a winder. Now it seems like it may not be winding up even when on the wrist. I still seem to get around 3 days when I wind it manually but it doesn't seem to be winding up when on the wrist either. I actually haven't worn it for 3 days in a row to really test that theory out though. I know it is not the best thing to do but, just to see, when at a dead stop, I tried shaking it to see if the rotor movement alone could get it going but I couldn't get the second hand moving at all without manually winding. Has anyone had this issue. I have seen a couple of other posts on other forums with the same issue with the P9000 but didn't seem to get a resolution to the problem even after having it serviced. The watch is about 5 years old and could probably use a service anyway. I am wondering if I should drop $500 on the service (and whether or not that will even solve the problem) or just put it in t

Black Bay boxes and warranty cards ... why so many differences ?
Looking at some pictures via google I saw at least 4 different boxes for the same watch and also the warranty cards are different(some have only 2 lines text serial number and reference, others a third and even a 4th line)notice the red accents in the box and 4 lines text on the warrantydifferent box and 3 lines text on the card2 lines on the cardand yet another boxand another box ...and another box ...2 lines text Any idea why we see all these differences ?Different country different box and cards ?
