I understand while I was away in Japan last week, we had a sizeable group of Omega fans from WUS come to WTF in response to some controversy there. I don't know the details per se, but let's just say I've had my share of challenges with WUS Admin. I've been on the WUS Admin Team - TWICE - and Ernie banned me from the site. In any event, welcome to WATCH TALK FORUMS. We tend to be pretty easy going here, but we do have some rules. I would invite you to review our Rules & Guidelines located at the following link: WTF Rules of Conduct: ALL MEMBERS PLEASE READ!I like to say that we run a "PG-13" site here. If you're wondering if you should post something, ask yourself "would I want my wife/daughter/son/pastor reading this? That tends to be a pretty good guideline for most. What we don't do here is arbitrarily censor people here, or ban people. Whenever possible, if something needs editing, we'll PM the person and them to do it themselves first, and explain why. When we received these watches I did not post anything due to the fact that mine arrived defective. Since this was my first EL watch and my first buying experience through Fine-Time, I was as you might imagine a little skeptical about this watch. I asked for a refund as it was defective. I was told by Fine-Time that I would have to send it in for repair to a third party and I would be reimbursed for the shipping charges. I knew that they had done a special engraving for us so I did as requested and sent in the watch for repair at a cost of 12.07 for shipping. The watch came back yesterday with the same problem it left with, no receipt for repair, nothing. I sent e-mails out to Fine-Time, Mr. Cary as well as Gerard with EL as both had assured me this problem would be taken care of and that my watch would be taken care of by an expert watchmaker. I have sent e-mails to Fine-Time and to Gerard of EL asking once again for a full refund for purchase price, this was yesterday afternoon. I ha
does anyone know just how many of each model is produced each year by AP since the watches are made completely by hand with extreme detail? There is a No xxxx engraved on the back but i'm not sure if thats the total number of that model produced to date or if thats the number produced for that series..im also confused as AP doesn't change their series letter every year like rolex does.. I know they were making G series for a couple years and now they have released H series.any info would be great.i think now that the ROO's are being shipped with AP's in house movement, their production numbers may be a little lower than before at least for a little while.
hi guysi have been following these forums for a long time trying to decide what watch to buy over the next 3 months and have decided it will be a Datejust with a fluted bezel. But i am still a watch beginner and only own a Rado, DW and few other basic watches but have been an admirer of Rolex DJ and Omega Speedmast/Seamaster for a long time. Being I'm in the UK and this site seems very heavily focused on USA seller and AD's and I just don't know where i can buy the watch?I have been looking at the ads from AD's on this forum but not sure if i can trust them as i don't want to buy a fake and especially when shipping abroad. So ideally i need a recommendation for UK/London sellers who are reasonably priced for a used model, my budget is 3-4k GBP. Can anyone recommend somewhere to buy or should i risk online from USA? This is the type of watch, but i find this site watchfinder slightly expensive. I will be wearing this casually and at work, smooth bezels seem to be cheaper, is the f
