- The "old man" loves this watch. The numbers are large and easy to read, even the er date. It was not difficult to set the time.

Seiko SNKK67 wrist watches news:
.....Picked up this little cutie for $1.29, with 1.85 shipping .......it'll have to go to Jerry to get it running.......but seems to be all there .....oh and when the seconds track is divided up into fifths, does that usually mean that the second hand goes in fifths too ?
I keep coming across practically free examples of women's mechanicals and was wondering if there any sort of real interest out there in the real world for them or if watch collecting is almost exclusively reserved for men and men's watches. This weekend I picked up a couple of 60 year old Elgins for $4 (just because they were there) both are running and both are keeping excellent time. The movements are almost magically small coming in at maybe 2/3 the diameter of a dime. I really can't imagine what is took to assemble these back in the day or even now for that matter. So, is there anyone one out there who has any interest in these tiny marvels? Obviously not to wear, but just to admire the engineering and workmanship it takes to reduce a mans watch movement to something literally 1/4 the size.
I got this quartz Seiko for Christmas. The only problem with it is the mineral glass. That is a deal breaker for me. All of my watches are either plastic or sapphire. I can't deal with mineral glass. So I took this in today to my friendly watch maker. He gives me big discounts on everything and sells me vintage stuff (he always keeps the great ones for himself!). So, for $70 bucks or so, I changed out this crystal to sapphire. NOW it is a fine quartz watch that will look brand new for the next 20 years! Throwing on a sapphire is about the best thing you can do to a low cost watch. Here is what it looked like out of the box. The sapphire adds a slightly deeper color which looks great. I'll put up a pic when I'm not watching Monday Night Football.
I just picked up a 2005 Omega Seamaster pro chronometer and dont really like the bracelet for the summer.Does anybody have a good suggestion for a strap for this? Any pics? Thanks Guys
I can¡¯t even find a 5726a on strap at an AD! Have a great day!! And never give up the chase and hunt! Lol
