Jaeger LeCoultre Q2958120 wrist watches news:
Hey guys and dolls, I just got a Portuguese Chrono-Automatic yesterday and I had a few questions that the manual didn't answer:-How does an automatic winding watch work? -If it's automatically winding, why is there mention of a power reserve?-When I turn the crown, I notice some resistance. Am I supposed to turn the crown? Does it have any effect on the watch? Thanks!Michael
I just bought a cockpit all stainless with dark blue face...looks great. I got it directly from a AD and thus have all paperwork.I have now grown found of the two color cockpit....rose gold and stainless. With a dark/black face and the rose gold number and accents on the bezel with the bracelet with the middle links in rose gold.Any thoughts on this?ThanksEd
When replacing a screw in case back I'm confused as to if the case back threads and the gasket or rubber O ring should have a light coating of oil such as stem lube.My watch maker does very good work but never lubes the threads. It just seems to me that to lightly lube the threads will allow the back to screw in much easier. And a light coating on the rubber O ring would create a better seal. So, what do you think?
I'm guessing this lot has seen this site before, but I just came across it while searching for a watch my wife just saw on TV and liked (Citizen Eco-Drive that Paula Creamer (LPGA) was wearing).watch commercialsNot sure how many they have as I just saw the site for the first time, but sharing in case others haven't seen it yet.
I must have stumped everyone with my first post or this forum is not very friendly. I will have to stick to Rolex forums where people answer posts (the polite thing to do). However the people on another forum (VRF) answered all my questions. The Rolex site must have more knowledgeable people there. I always enjoy posting and watching my post go down until out of sight w/o one reply. =) maverick
