Jaeger LeCoultre Q1742471 wrist watches news:
HII'm new to this forum and watch collecting, so PLEASE bear with me! I just purchased an Omega DeVille dress watch in which the bracelet and watch body are all one piece. The entire watch is gold-toned, except for the back, which appears to be stainless. Inside the back case it states a 20 micron gold plating, but on the bracelet clasp there's a hallmark (lozenge with what appears to a tall "T" with a letter on either side. Just below this is a stamping which appears to read "55%". I carefully tested the bracelet and watch body in several places, and it tested 10k or higher. Could this be, or am I just not getting through the plating? Also any info. on this watch would be greatly appreciated!-Inside case is numbered 111.0139. Works have the number 42 over 050818 and the omega symbol. Also the number 625 and Omega Swiss 17 jewels unadjusted. I know pictures would help a great deal, but I haven't figured that part out yet! Thanks so much! Jack.
Armand Nicolet markets some very nice automatic watches which appear to use somewhat standard movements with the addition of in-house complications and hand finishing. In short I like them. but I have never seen one.1) Thoughts on workmanship and quality.2) Thoughts on price...there are some good deals right now.Any input is appreciated, but I guess I am mostly fishing for any negatives associated with the brand.
Although the answer should be obvious that you match your buckle color to your case, and I have done that with all my watches. And I know this is just a matter of personal taste, but what about matching the buckle to the strap and not the case.So this would be in instances of black or charcoal watch straps where you have a black PVD/DLC buckle but your case is not, such as SS, tungsten even bronze.I have tried this but I am not sold on the idea, but it sure would open up some idea's for my black watch bands that I have.If you have pictures of this type of configuration please post them.
