Vintage Longines identification
Hello all, I have a 14k square faced Longines watch that I have inherited but can't identify. I have via serial the number on vintagewatchresources identified the approximate year it was manufactured 1947. I searched the database on that site looking at virtually every watch they have on file but can't match this one up. First time AP buyer looking for ROC 39mm in silver
Hi Guys,After deciding a bunch of options, my heart is set on ROC 39mm in silver/white. Will most likely buy pre-owned. My budget is around $10K. A few questions for experts out there?- Is $10K realistic?- What are the best places to buy pre-owned? I have been checking Chrono24, but most of listings there are overseas. That could be an option, especially when you get 20% VAT back from Europe, but a US store would be preferable- Any do's and dont's? Things I should watch out for?Thanks,-L

5227 too small for wrist?
Just posted last week about deciding between getting a Calatrava 5227 today or waiting the Nautilus 5711 out, and seems like the conclusion would be for me to get the Calatrava today and figure out if I want to buy the 5711 once it's my turn on the waiting list. So I went to an AD and tried the 5227 on again. I did have some concerns:1. Judging by my photo, the 5227 doesn't seem nice, but photos by other forum members show that it is (my photo seems to darken up the batons making it look plain black) - so may I ask those who have the 5227, do the white gold batons stand out in real life? I think it's central to the beauty of the watch especially on a black dial. 2. My wrist shot shows my wrist being squeezed by the watch. Does this mean the 5227 is too small for my wrist? Would a longer strap help it? Does Patek sell longer original straps?3. I was thinking of a deployant buckle, is this appropriate for this type of watch?I also did try a different model at the AD, a 5205. This on the

A trip to Geneva with the World on my wrist...
Greetings guys hope you are all having a great weekend. Just wanted to share a few snaps of my recent trip to Geneva with my 5131R strapped on the wrist where it belongs in the cockpit crossing time zones. Had a fews guys asking for shots so here you go.. You will notice I changed the strap of my 5131R to lighter shade of brown which I think works well as it enhances the World enamel dial more...Also had the pleasure of meeting fellow TRF member Karl as a VIP pax on my flight returning home from his adventures in Geneva.. Questions on Bulk Rolex Order
Long story short, I'm considering at buying 7 of either the WG Oysterflex Daytona (ref. 116519LN) or the WG blue Submariner (ref. 116619LB) (and no, they wouldn't all be for me...). The first question I had was on pricing - it seems like 20% on PM models is fairly standard, but do you think it would be reasonable to shoot for more given the quantity that I'm buying? Also, I've wanted the SS Daytonas for quite a while and think it would be reasonable to ask to get both a white and black dial within a reasonably short timeframe (a few months). I haven't yet discussed this with the AD, but they know that I want a Daytona and said that an order like this would move me higher on the list. This sort of response shocked me a bit -- I feel like asking for both, let alone just one, in this scenario isn't that ridiculous, but I wanted to hear what you all thought.
