Jaeger LeCoultre Q175847V wrist watches news:
Saving for this one after much pondering on what Rolex would be a good first start. If you have some wrist shots I'd love to see them! Thanks.
Hello all:New to this forum and as such I am looking for some advise on my old Seiko Bellmatic. I used the search feature and found little info so far on the bellmatics. A bit of history first. After University I became a Police Officer and as a gift to self bought the bellmatic new in 1978. This watch served me well through many adverse situations and really took a beating. I wore it everywhere under every situation including the sauna, swimming etc. for ten plus years. It currently isn't working and I would really like to get it refurbished if its at all possible so I can pass it down to my son. Its value is more sentimental to me than anything else. Any advise would be appreciated
im not goin to post brands names..just pictures1: if your a 10 year old boy is cool to wear one of this, but if your an grown man it just goin to look rediculous.2: skeleton watches are more like a fashion piece than a watch 3: the all black out watches, more like a fashion trend to me4: oversized watches5: i call this clown watchesHere's a rule for all the Beginners: Picture your watch on Lee Van Cliff. If if looks good on him, then it looks good on you.this is my personal opinion..now let us see, the watches that you found hideous..
After purchasing several vintage watches, I'm coming to the conclusion that only those with round cases are big enough to look good on my wrist. Problem is, I've only bought two round (both Wittnauer) and maybe 6 or 7 that are tonneau, rectangular, or other shapes. So, this weekend, I'm going to ask for some assistance from the Watch talk community. I'll be taking some good photos (have to break out the Canon digital SLR and set up some decent lighting) of my vintage watches, and asking WTF members to help me decide which to keep, and which to flip. I'm pretty sure I'll keep both the Wittnauers, and possibly 1 or 2 of the others, and sell the rest to fund an as-yet-undecided purchase.Well, that's kind of a rambling, pointless post about something I'm going to do in a few days!
Patek Philippe aquanaut to add to my collection. Anybody has any advice or idea where I could get one will be much appreciated Thanks for looking Sent from my TECNO H6 using Tapatalk
