Jaeger LeCoultre 140.8.38.S wrist watches news:
..for sale, it's because I have a line on not one but TWO of my grails. Met a guy selling some of his vintage watches last week and bought the two Longines. Well, he told me he had a couple mint pieces that are #1 and #3 on my Top 5 Most Wanted list and they were in excellent condition. He's a master of understatement.I swear I've looked at over 200 of these in the last year or so. I thought I would end up buying a junker and sending it in to Le Sentier for restoration, but this one is in incredible shape :It's a 60's Memovox reference E855 37 mm solid (not capped) 14K case with stainless back and a bumper caliber 825. It's crisp, 100% correct, completely original, and all mine - I left a deposit and he's gracious enough to hold it for a week or two. (I didn't want to bring a large sum of cash into a strange neighborhood at night. If any of you know Northeast Philly you'll know what I mean.) This was THE most wanted watch on my list, and has been for quite a while. I'm conside
Not many white dials out there look this good in my opinion. Have a great one to all here
I am currently looking to add a 15300 to my collection. I really like the blue dial best, but it will be unlikely I find one. So now I am looking into the white dial, but a little concerned with the legibility. Any 15300 owners who can give some feedback would be greatly appreciated. I also consider the 15450, but the dial looks like this dial might be even more shimmery, so any feedback on that would also be helpful. Thank you very much. - chris
It seems a lot of Rolex owners cross over to AP. If you had the choice, which one would you choose (seem fairly close in price range)? The AP is iconic and stunning. However the chocolate dial on the Rolex is scintillating and unique. Sent from my 16M
I know it's really random but just out of interest...Do the standard titanium plots and ss plots have same tone/color?In some pictures titanium looks darker but not too sure...Those of you who have models like FC diver and other Offshores, do the plots look the same in tone?
