- I am very happy with this purchase. The watch is light weight, good quality and looks great. The closure seems secure so I am comfortable that it will not accidently release. Exceptional value!

Jaeger LeCoultre 190.8.96 wrist watches news:
After months of deliberation over what to buy I finally opted yesterday for a Seamaster Aqua Terra Chronograph Co-Axial Chronometer (Don't think I've missed anything!). I had the watch lined up against 2 Brietlings - Super Avenger and Superocean; and Tag Heuer Calibre 17. Choice came down to the Seamaster and the Tag but I didn't take long to pick! I'm absolutely smitten by the watch but I'd appreciate any advice on ownership. This is my first watch over ¡ê500 so this is new territory for me!Managed to negotiate 17.5% off the price which was a bonus, but having to buy the wife a labradoodle in return!
Back in May, I decided I wanted a nice dress watch, which then turned into a couple, then of course you know the story. Unfortunately, at first, I just wanted something nice, but as I have learned WTF over the months, there is more to watches than just just a pretty face. Before, it was quantity, but now I'm inclined to automatics and quality and now that is even being refined further. So, not being a flipper, here are my watch mistakes that will remain mistakes. Some of the watches are mistakes because they are quartz, but I actually like several of my quartz watches. Some are mistakes because they were cheap, but that's their only redeeming values and some are mistakes because they have failings.TX Perpetual Calendar. Even though it has four motors, it has four motors : )Swiss Military Hanowa Corporal quartz. One of my first watches. I just has no personality.Timex SL Auto. Chinese movement, horrible dial. Hard to read dials and the year and month need to be changed manually.O
The clasp doesn't lock probably due to vibration from running. Its a cheapish J-axis. Only significant marking on the back is S.R. Its hard to see but its a pin lock. I read that fix clasps by bending by this doesn't bend. That clasp was pain to unlock when new. Watchmakers are located far from home here in Japan. Comes undone in 5 seconds. Adding better photos. How to fix it? I don't really need a watch but my wife hassle me about it.NEC_0001.JPGNEC_0002.JPG
Hello everyone. Very difficult to find any information on this amazing piece. Any idea on production numbers? Secondary market pricing? Any come up at auction? Sought after and collectible or too specialised for most collectors?Any insights appreciated. Thanks.
