At Baselworld this week, Blancpain presented its first annual calendar combined with the GMT function. The Villeret Annual Calendar GMT is equipped with the new in-house automatic calibre 6054F. Bell & Ross added a new complication to the BR-01 series with the BR-01 93. The BR-01 93 GMT adds the a second timezone function that is displayed with a second hour hand on a 24 hour graduated bezel. This automatic-winding timepiece is geared towards travelers. By setting the 24 hour clock to Greenwich Meantime, the local time can be calculated and set quickly and simply. The separate hour hands can also be used to display two preset times. Anyone know of a good source for replacement watch hands?
I just picked up a 1958 Chapman that's in need of serious TLC. It's missing the crystal as well as the minute hand and the dial has a serious case of dial rash from being unprotected. But I got the 770 movement working fine so once I get the dial refinished all I'll need is a set of hands to go on it.Does anyone know of a good source? I'm not sure what hole size they require either. I'm 99% sure the 14/0 and 12/0 watches (980/982 & 752,753, 754 and 770) all share the same hand sizes. I don't think any of our sponsors trade in such things so I thought it ok to ask. Any suggestions?

There should be no more doubts about retrofiting 5146/1G to leather strap.
(please excuse the poor quality of generic calf strap - it was used only for 'fitting purposes')This discussion comes up often and when folks call Patek, the official 'party lineanswer' is usually: "No it cannot be done"Well...it can be...with simple watchmaker tools and skill it took 5 minutes toremove the bracelet, place the leather strap on, take pictures, remove theleather strap and place the white gold metal bracelet back on....so there you have it.....if you are a fan of 5146/1G on bracelet, you know you can have it on strap as well (Christiaan, how is that fer' you, Pal ?? ;)
