Jaeger LeCoultre 9046 wrist watches news:
At first glance, the word “legible” may not spring to mind, but take a closer look. The new Tortue Perpetual Calendar achieves a design coup: several elements, including an openwork dial, combine to create a rich, complex mechanical tapestry, yet each of the indications is easily read. As the first automatic perpetual calendar from Cartier, this watch melds the brand’s long-established design flair with its more recent strength in movement manufacturing. The 45.6 x 51 mm case is available in white or pink gold. I've inherited a Longines watch from my grandfather, and could do with some advice. Pics below - click on the images for bigger versions. The apparently-always-helpful Mr Krebs at St Imier told me this:
I've been seriously considering a 15202ST Jumbo lately and popped into the Beverly Hills Boutique yesterday to try on the rose gold version since the steel is never in stock. This is the second Jumbo I've tried on and although it's stunning overall, neither one has had the deep blue color I've seen in some of the photos of the Jumbo on this and other sites. It comes off more muted and gray/blue in most angles I could see in real life. Is this just the way it is or are there Jumbos out there that have dials that look like this (see below) in the metal?
How many 2254.50 owners are there on TRF? Post your pics! Here's mine! The bracelet was starting to look a bit worn so I replaced it with a nato strap. I think it looks really great now.
Feeling extremely lucky. I was kind of undecided on what to get for my next watch. Was seriously considering an AP RO Chrono. Almost bought one, but after looking around, doing more research on TRF, etc., I came to my senses and really started to fall in love with the 5711. I quickly realized it was one of the most coveted and difficult pieces to acquire. I just wanted to see one in person and try it on. Went to several PP dealers, the boutique in Tiffany in NYC, even the watch guys on 47th St. (who basically have everything available), but couldn't find any. In fact, couldn't even find a Nautilus of any model. They are just not in stock. Didn't matter, 5711, 5712, etc. Just wanted to try it on. Eventually did see and try on a 5726A Annual calendar on strap. That was the only Nautilus anyone had! Basically, I had to order it sight unseen. If so many people are wanting it, it must be good! So I inquired with my local AD and got the there's five year waiting list routine.
