Jaeger LeCoultre 251.81.10 wrist watches news:
Patek Philippe, the most prestigious firm in the watch world, has thrown down a gauntlet to the Swiss watch industry. After 123 years, the Swiss brand replaced the Geneva Seal with a higher-standard seal of its own. Find out why in this article from WatchTime’s May-June 2009 issue.Patek Philippe has taken the unusual step of defining and codifying its own standard of excellence for a Swiss luxury watch and created its own quality mark ensuring that its watches have attained that quality. As a consequence, the firm has ended its 120-plus-year affiliation with the Geneva Seal quality mark. The company announced at the Baselworld exhibition in April 2009 that, starting that year, it will no longer submit its movements for inspection by the Geneva Seal Bureau. Instead, it will affix its own Patek Philippe Seal (an emblem with a double P) on its movements, testifying that they have met quality standards that the company claims are ¡°the most exclusive and stringent¡± in the world.Patek¡¯

Hello all.I finally snagged my first vintage Seamaster. It was a private sale through another watch forum. I hope I did okay. Here are some pictures for you:Dial looks like it's original with patina:Side shot:Inside the caseback:And the 353 movement:While the calendar register doesn't seem to line up perfectly, I hate to have to mess with the movement....I put it on my watch timer and got this reading:I've already got an ostrich strap on the way to replace the black it came with. Would you folks bother to have the calendar function looked at? How about a little polishing of the case? I'm open to your suggestions and opinions. Thanks!!!
Hello,How much of a discount can one expect to receive from an AD on a women's stainless quartz AP?Thanks
Hi Guys. So pleased that that we now have a dedicated AP forum I've been considering the new AP ROO Chrono in stainless steel. My local AD has told me that he'll call when one comes in, but it's taking forever and the wait is killing me. Has anyone added one to their collection? Would be grateful for pics/info/views. Many thanks in advance
