Jaeger LeCoultre 260.84.12 wrist watches news:
My sense is that Daytonas are tightening up a bit. Earlier this Spring/Summer, you were seeing a lot of them for sale and you were seeing them below retail. My AD called me last week and offered me one that had come in, but I didn't bite.
Just found a new source for Marina Militare watches so I had to place an order and check them out. Took delivery by EMS...that would be International Express Mail Service...in 6 days from the time I placed my order.I think the Marina Militare watch is pretty well known and it is what it is. An homage piece. First up is the white dial automatic on black embossed leather with contrast stitching and stainless steel pin buckle. 44mm case diameterpolished 316L stainless case and bezel with brushed case backmineral glass crystalautomatic movement with small seconds at 9 o'clock and date window at 3 o'clockThe first thing I do when checking these watches over is to make sure all the required screws are present and tight. This watch passed inspection. This is my second MM with a white dial. I really like the clean look.I think 44mm is a good size on my wrist.I'll have more about these two when I have time for some quality photos. Thanks for looking.
Have anybody seen the royal oak 15450 37mm? I have tried the new 15202 but its big for my wrist. wrist shot would be nice.
AP community - I've come for advice (aka enabling and empowerment that only TRF knows how to do). I picked up my first AP (RO 15400) last month and am loving it. Since then I've been looking for a more casual/weekend watch. So this weekend I tried on a Diver at the Bal Harbour boutique, but was not so happy with it. My major issue was not liking the screw-in crown at the 10. Naturally, I then proceeded to try on a few others. I didn't think I wanted any more chronos as I have a daytona on which I never use the chrono feature. Tried a BB and a Volcano (wanted to see a panda but they didn't have one). I have to say though these ROOs are big gorgeous watches - and not to mention how the chrono dials look on the tapestry and the recessed date wheel . I'd have to say that the panda is probably the one I'd be most interested in because of the color scheme being a little more down to earth and I'm not sure I love a carbon forged case (maybe an acquired taste that will grow on me). Thoughts/en
So I was lucky enough to purchase the SS Sky-D a few weeks back - not in my first choice of blue but gorgeous all the same (white). Now I¡¯m not really a night owl but did find myself awake one night just before midnight and so decided to watch the date change ¡®within a few milliseconds of midnight¡¯ as per the Rolex website.Well I waited with baited breathe but as midnight passed I thought the watch must be set 12 hours out, and then some 40 seconds later, sure enough the date changed. I¡¯ve replicated this Many times by adjusting the time to just before midnight but alas the date change has been between the said 40 secs and 2 minutes! Now this wasn¡¯t a major deal given that I am usually sound asleep at this time, however, I was somewhat bemused to see an Instagram post from our beloved manufacturer illustrating this remarkable feat at the stroke of midnight.I decided to give my AD a call regarding this and he said he would discuss with Rolex and get back to me.I received a call the follow
