Hi all,I've just been "reprimanded" on another forum for suggesting that this could have been the greatest horological develepment of recent times. Seemingly there are concerns that this innovation leads to more regular maintenence visits. Considering many laud George Daniels as the greatest watchmaker of the 20th Century - and add to this that the co-axial escapement is seen as his greatest achievement - I figured I was on terra firma saying that this was indeed a huge innovation of recent times? I didn't realise a series of anecdotes and opinions from people on another forum about the increasing need to maintain Omega watches with this movement would lead to me being gently admonished.I have a lot of respect for the depth of knowledge on this forum and as a result would like to garner your opinion on the matter (I don't mind if you think that I am wrong as I like to learn). Please be assured that any views you give will not be passed off as my own.Kind Regards,
Still way in my fantassy world, I will someday buy a WG DayDate, at first I thought a white face but have recently been leaning towards the silver, I like the stick indices and the fact that it has luminova, to read in the dark. Here is my question to you owners: How comfortable is the bracelet? I currently have the DJ 41, and before that the EXII 42, both have the 5 mm adjustable oyster bracelet. I often am adjusting it, open and closed. I donĄŻt know if itĄŻs due to temperature, or humidity, or maybe my body just expands and contracts a lot. Anyway, if any of you owners previously had the adjustable band, do you find you miss it? In general how comfortable (as compared to the Oyster or Jubilee) do you find the President? Some day... I keep telling myself, some day IĄŻll get that WG DD
