- Love the fact of never replacing batteries, slightly large for everyday wear, but definetly heavy duty over kill.

This turns into a long a fun conversation on the value of high-end mobile phones (as centered around our discussion of the new Tag Heuer Link Smart Phone). We also discuss an iPhone app that measures the accuracy of your watch (Kello) and the goodness of Grand Seiko.Listen to the HourTime Show watch podcast episode 72 here.Download the Mp3 here.
I have a couple of things I would like to ask some of you who also own a Planet Ocean. Ijust noticed right now since where I am we just past 12am about an hour ago. I noticed that the zero on the 30 on the date is missing on the left side of the zero towars the middle a little bit of white of the number. It looks as if it is a little bit chipped. This concerns me since the watch is only about 3 weeks old. I will try to show some pictures later. You see,I could have never noticed this when I was purchasing it, so it comes as a surprise to me.My last question concerns this AF coating. Do you think the actual coating is more prone to smudges as compared to other crystals that do not have that coating
My father in law has a blue TT Sub from the mid eighties and there isn't a crown on the crystal at the six o'clock position. When did Rolex start using the crown etching on the crystal or do they just do that on certain models?
For a while we had a rash of new SMPs. Now it seems the latest craze is new Speedies! Let's have a roll call, whether you just bought yours (or got it as a birthday gift ) or have owned it for years. Wrist shots, unveiling stripteases, interesting close-ups...put them here!
Hey PP lovers: Looks like I'm ready for another addition to the stable. Would appreciate some feedback.Quick description of my Pateks - two nautilus (5711 Blue and 5726 White), 5167, and 5205G Black dial.I'm debating between an annual calendar, a perpetual, and a special Lange.1: Patek 5936 WG. This beauty would compliment my 5205 well. A bit more classic, a white dial, and a slightly smaller size. Surprisingly I found the watch to wear somewhat larger than it's stated size as I think the thick bezel and nicely seized lugs of the calatrava case lend it some real pop. Add it a bright white dial and the watch has some real wrist presence. Potential negative: another 324 AC and maybe it's too much.2: JLc Ultra Thin Perpetual WG. Gorgeous dial, beautiful proportions, and slim and very elegant case. Movement finishing is somewhat pedestrian for the price but the watch is incredibly comfortable to wear and I particularly like the black nickel indices. Cheaper than the others too.
