Here are some photos of my Quartz 2264.50. I've had it for a coupleof months now. I think it's a great watch and don't mind quartz. I also have an automatic now but have no intention of replacing the 2264. I think quartz and automatic watches both have a place (and a heartbeat!)Thanks all,Paul.

Id like to hear some stories from fellow WIS' on what drew you to Rolex. Was it just seeing it on someones wrist?, Seeing on the big screen through Bond or just something that made you want one!

Buying watches on the web
What do you think of buying new watches on the web. Obviously there is the risk of getting fakes or other rip-offs but, aside from that, how can watches be sold at such discounts on the web?Right now I'm looking at a purchase that lists for $695, I can get it at Macy's for $550, a local AD will sell it to me for $525, and I can get it on the web at...$350. What? Yes, $350. I'm surprised the AD can't beat Macy's. I know a pruchase I recently made on the web was bare bones. I bought it on ebay and it arrived in a plain manufacturers box and had little documentation aside from the small manufacturers basic how-to book. That was it. I'm not concerned its a fake because it sure has all the hallmarks of being genuine and the seller had a very high rating from many sales on the bay. In the present case I would like to give the AD the business but I can't ignore the price on the web and feel good about it.
