I was in a SAMs recently and they had a Breitling Chronomat for $5,900. I have seen the same one at a local Breitling dealer for over $10,000. I called Breitling and they said since SAMs wasn't an authorized dealer the watch would not have any warranty. For the savings I would consider risking it. Breitling also said SAMs most likely got it when they purchased inventory from a business that was closing. Give me your thoughts.
I saw an article on the Fox News website yesterday about technology items that are becoming "extinct". One of those items the author declared was extinct was wristwatches. Apparently, with cell phones and other devices having the time on them, wristwatches are no longer being worn..."except by those that grew up with them".I agree that cell phones and mobile PCs, and iPods all will let you know the time; wristwatches do it with more style and elegance than the other devices. Wearing a watch is not always just having the time handy (and to me it's still easier to look at my wrist than pull my phone off my belt), it's about having a product that has style (anything from Rolex to Timex has style as far as I'm concerned). It's also about having something that in many cases is hand built with tolerances that require the utmost skill to pull off. It's about technology that will never become obsolete. The human hand that builds watches my become extinct, but in 100 years from now a watc
Hi All,I have my new target but cannot decide what is the better color. Please help vote what is your prefer color Grey or Vampire. Thank you for all comments.
Hello guys, this being my first post on this forum and faced with a decision i just can not make.I have had a number of watches and found myself turn into a serial flipper a few years ago. However, over the last 2 i have worked my collection down to 7 watches which over all bases, dress, causal and just ones i love.I had a Pam luminor (can not remember model) and whilst I loved it, it just did not quiet work, size and height with work attire.Things have changed for me now and find myself drawn to the Radimor range. I know it will be either a 42 or 45, the 47 is just to big for me, but I want it to be more my casual watch. So my problem is I can not decide between having the wire lugs or the 1940 style lugs. I just keep flipp flopping on this and just wanted first hand experience on who you feel the watches wear. Many thanksBrehamI
