Longines L4.512.4.11.6 wrist watches news:
I ordered one of the newest straps from Crown & Buckle, the Windsor, as I thought it would be a great complement to my Magrette Regattare Bronze. It's an extremely nice looking two-tone strap made of soft, supple leather and comes supplied with a brushed Pre-v buckle. To match the Regattare I replaced the buckle with a bronze buckle I had on hand. This was an easy task as the C & B buckle is affixed with a spring bar. I think the marriage of this strap to this watch is a great improvement over the original black strap supplied by Magrette, and provides the finishing touch needed. As always, the reasonable price of the product, and excellent customer service by Crown & Buckle is greatly appreciated.Enjoy the pictures.
What do people here think about the AP Royal Oak Extra Thin Tourbillon in stainless steel? I might get a pretty good offer from a local AD that I'm very close with. This will be my first ap tourbillon and something that I think will stand the test of time will be passed on to the next generation. However, I will need to let go of 2-3 AP's depending on which I let go. I don't wanna spend extra cash on it so the question is, which 2-3 would you let go if you were me to acquire this grail. This will be a keeper for sure. I presume keepers:- RO stainless steel skeleton perpetual calendar- RO 15305 rose gold open work- ROO RB2 ti The ones I could sacrifice:- RO 15202 rose gold- ROO jarno trulli- ROO QE2 diver- ROO ceramic diver- ROO Novelty navy 42mmSo if you were me, which 2-3 watches would you sacrifice or should I just enjoy my current collection and don't be silly.
Not as bad as the title.Newbie looking at buying a first Panerai watch. The one I am looking at is a Luminor, am I correct in thinking all luminor models have the crown lock? I believe from what I have read this aids water resistance? There are a confusion of model types, but the one I am after will just have second hand and date. To get back to the thread I have a simple Seiko 5 at the moment I wear most of the time. I am after a 'better' watch I can wear for work with an enhanced presence, but not over the top.The qualities I am after is to wear the watch basically 24 / 7 , in the sea / pool on holiday, and golf / low energy sports etc. Would the Panerai live like this? Not really bothered about picking up the odd scratch, and also planning to have it on a stainless bracelet for water purposes. Any advice before making the purchase would be appreciated.Toby.
Had the pleasure to sit down with Rolex today and also saw the CEO walk by!Some comments:- GMT feels a bit cheap on jubilee. Was also not impressed by the bezel colors.- To my surprise, I loved the everose GMT. Full and TT- Recently purchases WG GMT‘s can exchange their dial from black to the new blue one for free.- All new calibers will have a small crown between SWISS and MADE- Rainbow Daytonas and blinged-out Subs were nice to see but nothing spectacular.- Deepsea was great. Especially the one with the blue dial.- Tudor BB 58 is beautiful. Tudor GMT wasn‘t as great as expected. - Rolex itself said they are not really interested in selling SS watches as margins on PM models are, of course, much higher. Forgot to mention:- There will not be a SS watch of oysterflex. They said they want people to buy the more expensive one if they want oysterflex (upselling, they said)+ I got to see both DaytonaCs!! Sooo beautiful in person and my favorite Rolex watches.
IĄŻve had several pieces over the years, but I hadnĄŻt dove into Rolex because I just didnĄŻt want to. I like what I like and I really liked what I had, my favorite being an Omega PO 42mm LiquidMetal in full titanium. That is such a nice, nice watch. I have a 3 piece maximum rule because my 4th favorite rarely gets worn, but I decided to change things up. I just absolutely loved the GMT BLNR so I decided to pick one up after calling 10 ADĄŻs (most of them laughed when I asked if they had one in stock) and finally finding one. I couldnĄŻt have been more on the fence after I tried on a SubC once I got to the AD though, but I decided to stick with the Batman because itĄŻs just such a cool piece. Had it for 11 days but couldnĄŻt get that SubC out of my head so I sold my PO and picked one up. Im in now!
