Anything else you would have wished at the Omega stand at BaselWorld 08?
I think most folk would have liked to have had news if not seen the replacement for the 2254.50 which remains one of the most popular of Omega's designs. In looking at the releases I think I would have liked to see one other complication from the new cal 8500/8501 family. The Hour Vision Annual Calendar had already been announced earlier this year so while it was nice to see more of it, I was looking forward to seeing another complication, perhaps a GMT if not a chronograph. 2010 is another two years away so I'm sure there's plenty of time yet for more gems to be revealed. Overall, I liked what I saw of Omega at BaselWorld 08. There are some real beauties in the lineup even if there might have been some which were missing. There is much more to see I'm sure over the months ahead. The star of the show was definitely the AT but there are other jewels anyone of us would have liked on our wrist too I'm sure.. Bond wore a Breitling???
I'm catching some Bond flicks, and Thunderball is on tonight. It's not my favorite, but any Bond is better than none. I had to back up and get a shot of this because I couldn't believe my eyes - Bond wearing a Breitling Top Time! I always thought it was either Rolex or Omega in all the movies.
