Looking into buying an Akribos 'Davinci'. Have you ever had any good or bad experiences dealing with akribos?
So i bought my Aquaracer friday night. Had it sized but thought it was still a tad bit tight. I return to the AD saturday morning and the owner himself helps me. He goes in the back and returns with my extra links in a small clear zip lock bag that i never look at and just put in my pocket.I go home empty my pockets on the kitchen counter, watch tv for an hour, then my brother calls so i'm walking by the counter on the phone and i decide to pick up the bag of links and put them away with the box.I walk by our sliding glass doors and the sunlight shinning thru flickers on something in the bag,i hold the bag up thingking it was the stainless links and see some small round things in the bottom of the bag with the links.I hold up the bag to the light close to my face and see that the bottom of the bag is FULL OF DIAMONDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I told my brother in law i would call him back and i start freaking out.I hand the bag to my wife and she (we didnt wnat to open it) counts SIXTEEN 0.5-0.10
Apparently a Korean fan made this by carving a block of soap - I lol'd hard but gotta give him for his passion and dedication!RO 15300 soap edition
I went to watch store today, and salesman offered me this:Omega Speedmaster Date Chronograph, just like the one on the pics.I don`t know anything about this watch(exept that it is probably a Valjoux 7750 movement inside it),I don`t know it`s age(condition of it is not exactly mint, but quite fair)...And price looks fair enough, around 850$!The thing that bothers me is that this watch obviously don`t have sapphire crystal glass(there are one or two little scratches on it),and salesman claim that production date of it is around year 2000.How can it be?I would apreciate any opinion on this watch and,of course,I would like to know real production date of this model! Please guys, help me with this.
