Omega puts its world at your fingertips with its new iPhone app. Carry the entire collection, including images and technical data about every Omega watch, in your pocket. The Watchfinder function lets you select the timepieces that have the exact specifications you are looking for, and you can save your choices as Favorites. The app also displays the correct time and date on a De Ville Hour Vision. Tap the dial and view the animated Co-Axial caliber 8611 through the sapphire case back. Regular news updates will keep you in touch with the latest Omega stories. New From Perrelet: Air, Sound, and Eternity
For 2009, Perrelet introduces two new watches and a limited edition set with two timepieces in a special case. The first new model, known as the Turbine, takes Perrelet¡¯s double rotor design to a new level. The dial-side rotor is transformed into a 12 bladed titanium turbine that covers the whole of the dial. The turbine-inspired rotor spins beneath an outer ring bearing the luminous numbers. Luminous markers on the under dial accentuate the multi-dimensional effect. Turbine models measure 44mm in diameter and are powered by Perrelet¡¯s P-181 double-rotor movement. Turn this timepiece over to view angled and polished black lacquered bridges through the sapphire case back. The Turbine collection is available in plain titanium, DLC-treated titanium, and 18K pink gold. You're looking at the most interesting Hublot in a good while.? The King Power Unico GMT is a little bit Girard-Perregaux ww.tc and a little bit Urwerk 103.? The watch uses rotating satellites to display several timezones at once, though the indication is made via small red lines on the outer dial.? The movement itself is pretty impressive, if not a little confusing, but then again, most world-timers are a little tricky to read.?The Hublot King Power Unico GMT will be available in black ceramic or 18K rose gold, both sized at 48mm.?
