Longines L2.285.5.56.7 wrist watches news:
Hate the bracelet that Tudor attaches to their watches especially the chronos. Too blingy and too many small parts which I feel makes the watch look feminine. So, first I decided to brush the centre links of the bracelet....WOW, nicebetter than I expected Came out so well that I also brushed the top of the watch to match the bracelet, but left the sides polished. Here's the watch with brushed original bracelet, but still not too happy with it. It really needs an OYSTER bracelet.OK, got one. Previous attempt at polishing the centre links but the brushed effect was "too deep" on the links and the underlying marks can still be seen.Time to refurbish the bracelet and brush it again....sweet! Yup, this is EXACTLY what I imagined it to be! No need to do anything to it again.
Greetings Everyone...My new, 1st modern Hamilton arrived yesterday! It is a Khaki Mechanical. A very simple plan watch powered by a ETA 2804-2 wind up!So far it is + 7 seconds for 24 hrs...I do not think that is too bad! I suspect it will "settle down" after a period of time. The watch appears very well made. The strap feels good on wrist, may get a light brown leather strap later on.BTW.. I have a Jazzmaster Viewmatic on the way! Spending Christmas overtime money!See photos...rather poor quality.. cell phonedoes not do justice to this watch!Hamilton Khaki.jpgHamilton Khaki Manual 38 mm.jpgBestBob
I receive this one Monday
Hi, just received this vintage beauty in a trade for my Roamer Searock.Lator Chrono:I think that the original dial is black, but over time it's changed into a lovely deep chocolate color. What a great watch.I wasn't sure about this to start with, but the person I traded with said he had a couple of people who wanted to buy it, so I felt sure that if (read "when" ) I come to flip it, I shouldn't have a problem, but TBH it really is a great looking watch and (I don't know why) but it feels great on my wrist so I may well keep it.I changed the leather strap that it came with to a Nato which I think suits it nicelyAnyway, enough rambling!Mark
So omega's show up used often.speedmaster or sea master?whats a decent price for ones used?
