- This watch is very eye catching and my boyfriend has received lots of compliments on it. It is a heavy watch, bably not suitable for a person. It was a wonderful buy! I have recommended it to several friends looking for Valentine's Days gifts for their significant other.

If you’ve been following HODINKEE lately, you probably know that this is a big weekend in the watch auction world. And the watch that has probably attracted the most attention is Patek Philippe’s contribution for Only Watch, a piece unique 5016 in steel. Why? Because, as Jack alludes to here, there has been a widespread consensus that if the right elements came together, this watch could become one of the highest priced wristwatches of all time. 1 OF 2 Patek Phillipe for Only Watch 2015 ADVERTISEMENT Well, the hammer just dropped on the Patek and we have the result. After back and forth bidding between two phone bidders for the last 2 Million CHF, the watch sold to a phone bidder in English (probably from the UK, based on the fact that Paul Maudsley was the Phillips employee taking the bid), and the final price was 7,300,000 Swiss Francs (CHF), which makes it the #1 wristwatch of all time! A very strong result that shows
Hi,Saw this idea in the Breitling forum and I think there are plenty of nice IWC pictures that work well too!Since my new laptop has 1920x1200 resolution, my newest pics are in that resolution and can easily be scaled down for smaller displays. So, here are my High Res IWC desktop backgrouds:Kind regards,Cinq
good afternoon! i have my deceased father's steel and gold rolex datejust, and i got a great submariner 1000 feet, no date, from david sw. i wear the sub to swim, work, lift weights, and run. a super, tough, watch.i am considering a new/used omega seamaster, or speedmaster.1. would the seamaster stand up to this kind of use? a local jeweler has a new one for about $4400.2. how would the quality compare with rolex?3. would the speedmaster stand up to this kind of use?would appreciate any and all hints! you might respond here or send me private message.THANKS VERY MUCH!bob
I hate my PAM 104 deployant clasp. It's curved so great it digs into my wrist. I bought a Panerai brand normal non-deployant buckle and a couple straps, but now I can't wear the old straps since the deployant buckle is terrible and straps aren't cross compatible. Should I write off the old straps and buy all new ones? And also, where would I find replacement screws? I haven't lost any yet, but as tiny as they are I'm afraid I'll strip or lose one.
