- I've worn my 2000 daily for 15 years (wife has the ladies watch)
- Crystal is perfect despite lots of significant abuse
- Stainless steel case and band show minimal wear
- Accurate to within a few seconds a month
- Good service when needed
- Continues to look good dressed up or down
- Pins connecting bracelet to case failed at 13 years, replaced for $2
I fully expect this watch to last another 15 years, if not a lifetime. All things considered, a great value. - ----

Maurice Lacroix MS1017 wrist watches news:
Episode three of the quickly evolving podcast how HourTime (starring myself and John Biggs) is now online. We discuss some winners of the watch industry version of the Oscars, the Grand Prix d¡¯Horlogerie de Geneve 2009. Winners included Richard Mille, Greubal Forsey, the Hublot Black Caviar $1 million watch, Audemars Piguet and A. Lange & Sohne. We also discuss the watch business - what groups own what brands, how well they are doing, and like that. Then, we say a few words about Panerai, and more about how accurate watch making was so protected and why - more fascinating military and historic talk, including how Swiss watches used to be junk, while the American watches were the best. More on that topic in the next show. We end by reminiscing about our first watches. This time we invite you to comment on HourTimeShowwatches-dealer, so listen to the show and then respond.Listen to HourTime episode 3 here.Download or stream directly here.
I watched The Color of Money last night and when I saw Paul Newman, I remembered how he sported Rolexes in real life. Well, early on in the movie I noticed he was wearing a watch with a Jubilee bracelet and wondered if it might be a DJ. Sure enough later on there was a scene with a closeup of the DJ dial.It was great to see an iconic actor wearing a watch brand in a movie that he loved in real life!Sent from AtlantaDave's iPhone 4 using Tapatalk
love the bullhead, the strap that is standard is fine, however, i do like exotics and I'm thinking that a red rally strap (the one with the large to small diameter holes) of maybe croc or some kind of lizard with grey stiching would look good.....any recommendations on a strap maker? the tricky thing with a bullhead is that the pointy strap, not the buckle strap, has a notch cut out giving the bezel crown room to work without contacting the strap....ps i live in canada if that makes any difference
Just like the title says....but no, not any pictures of an actual cartoon smurf and.....so I have picked up an Everest strap, blue in color just to change things up a little. Most of my inspiration came from our one and only Chad! So here are some pics of a smurf 116619 with a blue Everest rubber strap. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hi guys.I thought I'd make my first post. I've been reading your posts for a long time so it's only fair that I make my own contribution. I have always admired Rolex watches since my dad gave me his SS date just about 25 years ago. So I decided a few months back to buy myself one, a bit indulgent but I think I deserved it! Others might disagree but hey ..... who gives what others think anyway?? I explored the collection, considered the sky dweller but found it too big on my wrist. I liked the Daytona but something didn't quite feel right. Ultimately I decided on this one (I hope the pic upload works.....). At the risk of sounding like a douchebag, or as a tosser as we Aussies would say, I'm in love with this thing! I'm sure you guys know what I mean. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
