Every once in awhile you get an email that makes you go...WOW, Really?Our Strap guru Scott, from Times of Plenty, came across a duo of NOS Elgins in his never ending hunt for vintage bands...and they needed a good home!The box came this morning, and inside were wrapped 2 Elgins thatlooked like they could have been in a storefront window decades agonever before used. Tags still on.In his trademark "blue dot wrapping" A silver dot too? This must be really special.The boxesmint.OH BOY!More photos to come later!

Question for the vintage guys
I want to add this to the H-101 post on hand style names:Problem is I don't know what the name is. I've been through De Carle's Watch & Clock Encyclopedia but don't see anything exactly like them. The closest I see is Trefoil Gothic - but trefoil means three rings and this has four. Any help out there?

Close call.....strap pin dropped out
Hi all, thought I would share my lucky escape of yesterday. I was sat in the car in a conf call glanced down to admire my newly acquired panda to see one of the strap bars half out. *** Hell !! I touched my watch and the pin totally fell out and luckily I caught my watch in my lap - no damage done. Today I have called AP and have a new replacement cap en route as well as ordering a 1.4mm screwdriver and LOCTITE !!! It could have been a lot lot worse.....
