Most of the shows is that we know and love on the Carrera except for size small and simple-looking face. To help keep research too bare face, nails in Paris added designers texture (just a series of square boxes model) on the face and he gives one of these Windows "open" date that I am disgust whenever I see them. In my humble opinion, the watch would looked better less half-banana in the form of eye - headaches of a date window.

Time Stands Still?
Here's a strange one: my SMP lost an hour and 15 mins between tuesday night and wednesday morningHere are the facts...1. On tuesday I set my watch to the US timeclock, which I do every couple of weeks to adjust for its normal loss. It was about 30 seconds slow.2. I used my watch tuesday night to time my class - so I know it was right-on at 9:15 when I left for home. 3. I took my watch off before going bed and noticed that it was going on midnight.4. I woke up in the morning, had my coffee, looked at the wall clock saw it was 7:10, went upstairs put on my SMP and noticed that it read 5:50 and was still running. (I had wound it the prior morning and worn it all day and wore it all day wednesday without a winding...).So, where did the 1 hour and 15 mins go?Strange yes?Hmmmmmm?

5980/1A (to cut to the chase!)After 30 years of collecting, and several years of lusting, I am left with two watches that belonged to each of my Grandfathers, one that belonged to the priest that married my wife and I, a 40th birthday present from my wife, and finally this:This is the ONE. I will probably rotate 3 of the other 4 watches on rare occasions (the 32mm Elgin military doesn't keep good time). But with these exceptions, this will be my daily, my week-ended, my dress-up, my dress-down...you get the idea!The Aquanaut and Calatrava (and most of what little watch fund cash I had) have been traded for my dream watch. Lots of Rolexes have come and gone, none remain. Omegas and (don't judge!) Wittnauers too (vintage Wittnauer is my favorite budget Swiss watch when I go through that phase).Hard to believe I finally made my goal.
