Maurice Lacroix PT6188-SS002-830 wrist watches news:
I am probably losing a load of karma points for this article. Part of me feels bad because I am in a sense directly criticizing artist Ulli Kampelmann, though I mean nothing personal. I just find her entire collection of watches so bad looking, and in just a funny way, that I had to show them off. I am sure her other types of art work are better.? I don't actually need to say much, because the hilarity sort of speaks for itself. They looks like cliche 80's satire, with a healthy serving of bad taste, and framed by expensive materials such as gold and diamonds. What is even funnier are the images placed with the watches in the little marketing shots on the Ulli Kampelmann site (which you should totally visit if you are in a bad mood as it will make you smile with laughter, I promise). She has a combination of men's and women's watches. The one hideous cream of the crop is the "Jeans Pocket" watch (also in pocket watch form!). The watches are in steel or rose gold plated with a variety of

Hi allIt's me again, now I'm very close to get my first.I was waiting for the ROC panda dial and about to get it next week but then the 15300 deal pop up!I know that at the end of the day it's really is up to me yet I would be appreciate any input from you all.I really like the 39mm Royal Oak case.I love the sporty look of the ROC.On the other hand, the classic yet some how sporty of the 15300 is also quite nice and more importand it's discontinued already which mean it will be harder to get later on...Which one would you choose?Thank you in advance :thumbup:Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
A couple of years ago I inherited my dad's old watches. One was an '80s gold plated DeVille quartz, which he was never attached to (it was a retirement gift I think) that I'm inclined to get rid of - more in another post, one day. The other was a watch he kept after he left the RAF. After doing a little bit of research, I understand it to be a relatively rare 1953 MOD / RAF issue. It is complete, in that it contains the disc and spacer found inside the case, but it has seen better days. It works, and keeps pretty good time - but to my mind, the hands don't line up (with the minute hand at 12 o'clock, the hour hand is past the hour, if that makes sense?!). The (I assume) acrylic is fairly scratched, and there seems to be a lot of filth between it and the case. The dial seems fairly good - but it's difficult to tell really through the haze of light scratches to the glass. So, I'd like to get it restored, to some extent. I think I'd like to keep it as original as possible, but I th
