Movado R6230 wrist watches news:
I have 1990 GMT II that came w/a black bezel insert. I like it but wanted the Pepsi version as well. I initially bought an aftermarket one for a few dollars but I it really bothered me that it wasn't authentic. I've learned on this forum that Rolex only exchanges the bezels and normally doesn't sell part even to ADs. The AD that's near me is real nincompoop. When I asked him if he can change the bezel insert he looked at me like woman who has just been informed by a mechanic that her headlight fluid needs changing. Luckily there's a Rolex building in NYC so I went there. On the 5th floor there is a nice waiting room where you tell them what you need, fill out some paperwork and in my case wait 1/2 hour. Than my name is called and I went to a counter where my watch was returned w/a brand new pepsi bezel. All this set me back about 55 beans. The girl noticed that I was wearing my Sub so she said "oh, you're wearing another Rolex, would you like to put it (GMT) away for you?" I said "sur
As I was hinting in my previous post just a few days ago - my first PAM was on its way. As always, when a watch is on its way to me¡it is a sleepless night and last night was not any different. I was reading various Panerai forums, adding PAM98 web site to my hobbyist page, but when I turned the light off at 4AM I was still flipping and flopping for another ? hour. I woke up 3.5 hours later at 8and my first steps were to my PC where I checked the FedEx site immediately. When I saw:¡°On FedEx vehicle for delivery ¡° ¨C I knew that the waiting was almost over.Since this is my first ¡®new PAM¡¯ post, I will do the good ole¡¯ box opening pictorial:I was wearing my Daytona from previous day, but I knew it would come off soon ;) It was delivered at 9:30 this morning and I had literally less than 15 minutes to open it, check it out, and snap a few pictures just with my P & S camera, before I had to leave for my office. Once I get some free time, I will take this puppy for a nice photo-shoot wit
In an effort to help a friend score his first Rolex I sold him my 216570 Polar¡..at something of a deal. So, I decided to pocket a bit and pick up a non-Rolex, whitey. I¡¯m really pretty stoked about this piece. It¡¯s really nice. Pay attention to the color variation in the bezel, we will be discussing this later when my BLRO shows up. Thanks all.E-IMG_5403.JPGIMG_5404.JPGIMG_5405.JPG
I have been on vacation in Thailand for 7 days, and decided not to take my PP but my BLNR, having worn my PP every day for 10 days before leaving I got used to the light weight and not feeling the watch, but thought I won't swim with the PP while I have no problem to swim with the Rolex, but am really missing my watch, it's stupid but it's always a painful thing for me to leave my favorite watch in the bank when I leave for 2 weeks, even more when for 1 month like now.At least I will be super happy to get it back, it took me less time to get it in the first place¡
I have a Rolex oyster day-date which needs servicing and repairs to the strap. It is an early 1960's gold president model. Rolex say they do not carry parts for this watch anymore and cannot repair. Is there anywhere else I can take it that specializes in Rolex watch repairs in the UK. I am frankly a little surprised that Rolex could not repair one of their own watches!!Please let me knowThanks
