Movado 07301176 wrist watches news:
I got home from work today and there was a package on my deck,so I brought it in and got my camera to get some shots of it:I was so excited to see the Orange Monster in person:The packaging was very well done and there was a brand new Seiko box inside,I opened it up and there it was:A brand new Seiko Diver, wrapped up very nicely in plastic,so I carefully removed it to take a few more shots:What a beautiful watch,I'm usually not into orange dials, but the dial on this one really fits the style. This is one mean looking watch. The fit and finish is flawless as expected for a Seiko and the lume compares to my Omega Seamaster, very bright. The bezel turns really smooth,it has a very precision feel to it.My first impression of this diver gets two big thumbs up I'll share my thoughts after a week or so to give a final review of it.I'm sure this is old hat to most of you guys, but this is my first Seiko diver,so I'm kind of excited a couple more pixs:
Hi All,I'm looking for a recommendation for a reliable and accurate thin manual or auto wind watch with a hardlex or other tough crystal. My preference is for an understated no bling gents watch that can be used for daily wear in the office without being concerned about it for an occasional run in the field. My early 60s 268 cal Omega works great but the original acrylic crystal getting knocked out is a concern and I would rather save it as a dress watch. Thanks for any replies.
As usual I started a New Years resolution to buy no new (new or preowned) watches this year.As usual, I didn't keep the resolution. But I can usually go at least 30 days.. Not this year. 14 days was the number.Oh well, at least I have a new (preowned) INCOMING!!!
Hello AP lovers and fans.I would like to firstly offer my apology for not listening to the advice given on this forum.I read the posting at the top of all listings - warning about buying a pre-owned AP.I am sorry - but I am not of the means to afford a brand new AP.I also wanted the 14790ST - the 36mm being the best size for me. (at least I could afford it after selling a few watches - Rolex Explorer II, Omega Speedie and Breitling SuperOcean.I started the hunt and turned up a lovely piece on Timezone being sold by a really nice watch enthusiast. He wanted high money for the piece (about $6000-) but it had been recently serviced by an ex-AP service repair watch maker.I paid for the watch and received it after the usual shipping delays. The watch was beautiful. After a few weeks - I noticed the watch was sometimes stopping before midnight. The seller sent me the photocopy of the service receipt. He definitely did service the piece.I took it to my trusted watch maker.... he told me the f
Not that long ago, I decided that I was through with buying any more watches for the time being. It turned out that I was wrong, but if you'll bear with me I'll do my best to explain why...Firstly, I had no less than 4 absolutely gorgeous Rolex sports watches in the collection - a 1665, a 1675, a 5513 and a 1680. In fact, the 1680 was without doubt one the best I've ever seen, but to own two Subs from the same year was just a little too self-indulgent for comfort . Bearing in mind that the 5513 is equally nice, I had some thinking to do when I received a recent request from the former owner to buy it back.Secondly, whilst my Mk II Speedy was a fantastic-looking watch, I learnt a lesson through owning it. It's obvious that I love a bit of vintage, but I found that the replacement dial and hands on the Mk II meant that I was regarding it in a slightly different light to my others; and this was exacerbated when I found myself feeling the love for some of the slightly more original example
