Introduction and first thought about fountain pens and watches
So first let me say hello and thank you for accepting me in this lovely forum.I am very new to this watch hobby, my main love are fountain pens but slowly I found watches more and more intresting and I think its has now blossomed into a full blown love affair I live in Toronto Canada, I immigrated here few years ago so please excuse my English and spelling mistakes as this is my second language.I find lots of similareties between mechanical watches and fountain pens.In these modern times we need less and less watches and pens due to computers, smartphones, tablets...etcThose who choose to carry mechanical watches or fountain pens do it because of strong passion, its a way to connect to the past when electronics were the excepton and not the common.At the moment my watch collection is very small and modest.......1.Old Rectangle Wind Bulova2.The more common old round face auto Bulova3.Montblanc Timewalker Chrono Auto4.Rolex Sub Dateless5.Hamilton Khaki Field Chrono Auto6.Seiko Orange Mon

Pray for me!!!First I've got to make it through the remainder of my work day, knowing there is a new watch at home waiting for me, and on top of that I have to anticipate what's going to be inside that box! Will the watch work?Will it be damaged?Will it be a returned item!?!As good a deal as I got on the watch, I still don't know why I put myself through this with shopnbc. I wanted an S. Coifman, and its the only place I saw them. But STILL!!!I HATE that they sell returned goods! That's CRAZY! Ill surely fill this post with pics within the next few hours, thanks for listening to my Pre-new-watch anxiety.

Luminox Water Question
I have a Luminox 3053 EVO. It states it is rated for 200M (water resistant) however there appears to be no way to screw in the crown to get a gasket seal? Am I to assume then, that it would not be a good idea to get this watch wet, especially submerged wet? I am not planning on diving with it but I do spend time around the water and brief submersions would definitely be likely at times.

Found it on EBay, seller says it's from 2006, a quartz movement, men's in 39mm. Doesn't list a reference number. Not really fired up about the EBay deal, but like the watch and would like a little info.

Omega..By Royal appointment!
Well, maybe not by appointment! I was in the line up at my grocery store checkout today and noticed the cover of Hello magazine had a picture of Prince William wearing a watch! Well, being the true WIS that I am I had to have a look!It looks like a seamaster with hollow hands, black bezel and dial, I am guessing about 40mm in size.If anyone has seen a closer picture and can confirm or correct that would be great!I have a lot of time for the Royal family, hard workers and this young man seems like a pretty decent sort to me!Anyway, thought it would be interesting..I wonder what the other royals wear?Here is a picture of the cover, could not get a higher def one, it actuall looks like the same seamaster Carl (carhaluss) has!
