Fans of affordably priced Swiss mechanicals may want to take a close look at the new Tissot Luxury Automatic COSC collection, which includes the first Swiss watches to contain the new caliber nicknamed Powermatic 80, an automatic movement with COSC chronometer certification and an 80-hour power reserve.The Powermatic 80 is the product of a collaboration between Tissot and the movement manufacturer ETA, Tissot’s sister company within the Swatch Group. To achieve its unprecedented lengthy power reserve (most comparable movements offer power reserves around 42 hours), its inventors developed a system that strongly reduces the consumption of energy. The oscillation frequency was reduced from 4 Hz to 3 Hz (21,600 vph), a high-performance synthetic material was used in the escapement to reduce friction. Can someone help me date my Speedy 3570.50 please?
I've recently acquired a very nice 1861-powered 3570.50 from TZ UK. It's a lovely example, but I was hoping to get an accurate year of manufacture. The serial is 7718**** - I've tried emailing Omega and have used their archive function on the website to no avail. Does anyone have any similar serial coded Speedys for reference/comparison (I'm guessing mid-2000s, but I'd really like to single it down to a year). TIA...

Panerai - Staying true to its history with the 673
I love the history of Panerai - is there any other manufacturer that produces such a close and authentic version of the original watches that the modern equivilants are based on?The only reason I own this watch is due to falling in love with the picture behind it of the original beaten and battered 1950's piece that I'd seen and drooled over countless times previously.I was very close to purchasing a Pam372 as at the time that was the closest thing I could find to the picture I'd fallen hopelessly in love with!Then to my utter joy in 2016 Panerai released a limited edition (ref 673) tribute to the very watch I'd dreamed of for so long. I actually remember feeling a little sick when I saw it for the first time I was so excited.Anyway, needles to say I didn't need much persuading when I eventually managed to find an AD that had one available.This ones definitely a keeper for me - I still get a little buzz every time I put her on the wrist for the day.Thanks for allowing me to share my lo

I have been a Rolex lover, admirer, and owner for over 25 years. While I like and appreciate the newest DD 41, There is something just perfect about the proportions of the original DD 36. I haven¡¯t owned one, but would like to own one someday. While out running last-minute Christmas errands, I saw one on the wrist of a fellow shopper and just thought to myself, Man that watch is what started my love affair all those years ago.
