Although my next Rolex purchase is most likely a few years off that doesn't stop me dreaming! I was walking past an AD today and as usual found myself standing inside, slightly unsure how I'd ended up in there!!Suddenly there was an LV on my wrist, and it got me thinking...Now I know that to some what I am about to say will be a rolex faux pas:eek: but here goes anyway...One of the things I love about my GMT IIc is the maxi dial. The lack of it on the current Sub was one of the things which made me go for the GMT. So I like the LV, except for the green! Its just not my colour!:D Also the clasp on the Sub is, IMHO, not up to the standard of the GMT/Daytona clasps. So, hypothetically, If I bought a secondhand LV, substituted the bezel for a black one and put on a daytona clasp (with centre link brushed), I'd have my perfect (pre Basel '08) Sub.What would all those parts set me back (in ¡ê or $) do you think? Presumably my resale value would be unnaffected so long as i replaced the original
I don't have anything against a nice metal bracelet, but the one that came with my PRC 200 just didn't look right to me.So I found a Hirsch leather band with curved ends in blue and blue stitching. I ordered directly from Hirsch's reseller, which is in Britain and amazingly I got it in four days from the nice guys at the Royal Mail.PrePostI think the dark blue band goes very nicely with the blue dial and makes the PRC look a bit more formal and definitely less pedestrian. I'm glad I went with the blue rather than the black. The strap itself is a bit stiff, but that is due to the thickness at the lugs, which, even though it tapers, is still rather thick at the end of the band.
I wanted to order a strap from Panerai but not sure of their sizing. The rubber strap that came with my 1024 fits great. The straps that come with a new watch are they the standard size? I have a 7 1/2 inch wrist so I was going to order a standard size strap, should this fit me ?Thanks for any help.
Hi All, has anyone got one of these? Struggling to find one in the UK and would love to see some wrist shots.....
